Checking out some resources for the Cub Scouts. . .

Three-part webisode for parents on online predators.

http://www.privacy.gov.au/Internet/tools/index.html
List for adults on tools and tips for maintaining privacy, from Australian government site. I haven't heard of a Privacy Commish before, how come the U.S. doesn't have one?

http://www.onguardonline.gov/games/friend-finder.aspx
Game for kids to reinforce privacy in social networking.

http://www.fema.gov/kids/on_safety.htm
Short, kid-friendly reminders of online safety.  Supplementary info.

http://www.wiredkids.org/wiredkids_org.html
Just for kids: cybersafety, cybercrimes, games, info, etc. Excellent resource I would recommend to parents, teachers, scout leaders, etc.

http://www.netsmartzkids.org/indexFL.htm
Kid site section of Net Smartz with games and activities for elementary students. Some reading required, but little text.

www.ago.state.ma.us
Lots of resources for cyber crime and internet safety, but difficult and dry reading.  For parents and teachers only, useful to create something new, not for kids.

www.isafe.org
Extensive resources for parents, educators, teens.  Kewl Times is an excellent resource for cyber-bullying, designed for middle school and high school students.

  1. Good links, Pat! It is interesting to see what the government is putting up in addition to private groups. I look forward to your presentation.
