Guilty as charged, I have gone widget crazy (jigsaw puzzles?). I am impressed at all the fun stuff that can be added to a blog, and it's the fun stuff that keeps me going, but at the expense of content?
My distraction, widgets, is real-life evidence of what could happen with kids. They are so intrigued with the techie stuff that they could lose sight of the purpose -- posting and sharing.
I would be that kind of kid.
