rating: 4 of 5 stars When a fifth grader finds out he was cheated out of a valuable Babe Ruth baseball card, he decides he will show the adults that kids won't lie down and take it. He assembles an unlikely team of classmates to steal the card back, and pulls off the biggest heist his little town has ever seen.
Great themes for kids: self-reliance, planning, teamwork. Wonderful story, with clear and simple vocabulary, easy enough for 4th grade. Also has a moral message at the end, thieves don't profit.
