Surprisingly, I have 8 followers on Twitter, and I know 6 of them for sure. I don't know my other two followers, but one is probably a classmate. I remember our class discussion about privacy, and revealing too much information on Twitter, and that person clearly wants her info to remain private.

I have followed the banter from classmates going on vacation and shopping, so the social aspect of tweeting is obvious. I had no vacation this past week, my kids are stir-crazy and need to go back to school, so this past week I really didn't want to read or respond to classmates. Not very social of me, just honest.

Kathy Schrock pops new finds into a tweet, so that is good professional sharing. She seems to be constantly discovering and encouraging others to do the same, and her tweets are brief and easy to read. That's the stuff I look for on Twitter, the info to stay current, and the ideas to try in the classroom. I will keep following people like Kathy Schrock who offer useful information, and I will likely drop the others in time if they don't benefit me professionally.
